If you’ve just recently purchased the theme at WordPress.com then you can ask for refund. All returns are handled through WordPress.com.
Notes:
Since September 1, 2021, Themes Harbor themes are no longer available for purchase at WordPress.com due to the company decision to close the program.
Since October 31, 2022, Themes Harbor no longer provides any support for WordPress.com version of themes at WordPress.com since the platform decided to stop paying for the themes (WordPress.com version) even though they are still used by paid users.
If you started to use one of our WordPress.com themes before September 1, 2021, but still want to use the theme and keep it updated at WordPress.com then the theme has to be purchased from Themes Harbor.
Note, as a WordPress.com user, you need to have a Business plan in order to be able to upload self-hosted themes (themes not from a WordPress.com collection) to a WordPress.com website.
Platform plans do not grant the license
If you’ve purchased WordPress.com plan then you will need to pay for the theme separately. The thing is that the Premium or the Business plan does not grant the theme license.
WordPress.com offers several plan options. Some plans provide an unlimited access to the premium themes located in WordPress.com collection.
It means that when having one of these plans, you can use a premium theme at WordPress.com as long as you have an active plan at WordPress.com that allows you to use that theme.
In short, you rent the theme for some period of time.
When you purchase Premium, Business or eCommerce plan at WordPress.com, you gain an unlimited access to all premium themes on WordPress.com without a need to pay a full price of the premium theme.
However, if you switch to the Free or the Personal plan then you lose your access to all premium themes at WordPress.com.
Renting is not the same as owning.
When you purchase a premium theme at WordPress.com then no matter what plan you are using, you always have an access to the purchased theme.
However, when planning to host own WordPress website at hosting other than WordPress.com, make sure you are able to download the purchased theme.
When using the theme purchased at Themes Harbor, you have full access to the theme files, meaning you can download theme archive and use at your hosting.
Note, to be able to download the theme files, you must have a valid license key.
