Setting Up the Sidebar
Zomer displays a three columns layout without a sidebar in archive views. Sidebar can be only displayed in single views. Add widgets to the sidebar area for a traditional two-column layout, or leave it blank for a one-column layout.
Adding Featured Images
Zomer uses Featured Images to help tell your story visually. They are displayed above the title on your blog posts both in archive and single views.
Creating Post Summaries
By default, Zomer displays the entire post content in archive views the unless More tag is used. If the More tag is used then the post will only show the excerpt to the point where More tag was added.
Customizing Widget Areas
Zomer offers two optional widget areas in sidebar and footer area. To add items to the widget area, go to Customize → Widgets.
Adding Social Links
Zomer supports a handy Social Links menu, which appears in two areas of your website: header and footer. Linking to any of the following sites will automatically display its icon in your menu:
Creating Custom Menus
Zomer includes one more Custom Menu in addition to the Social Links menu. The main navigation is located under site title.
